 | | Feelin' The Heat!
What a scorcher today! Its been hard work at the crease, thank god for air con in the car, thats all i can say! I got a few interesting workings today, 37423 with Caroline (again!), 37218 on a test train & suprise, suprise 47727 & 47749 on 6Z48. Thanks to 33106 & Robbo for the gen, nice one.

 | | Its A Thursday, So That Must Mean.........
Yes, thats right another go at those Colas 47's working 6Z48. I went today to Whitacre Jct for them & thankfully they turned up & didn't go mainline like the last time i went for them here. I also got 66841 working 6V67 today before i went off to work. Its gotta be said, i'd much prefer 47200, 47316, 47375, 47703 or 47714 (that Advenza/Cotswold have used & abused) instead of a shed working this train.
 | | BH - Sunny Sunday's
One phot from this week namely 26007 relaxing with D213 (40013) and a phot of ex Cotswold/Advenza 47375 from last week.
 | | Thomas Telford
Once upon a time there was more than one 47590/47825 that carried the name 'Thomas Telford', because along with 47555 it seemed to be always out & about. Nowadays 67014 is adorned with the same name, which i got today at Bescot. No luck with the DRS 37's or the other WSMR train though.
 | | Another Bout Of Yellow Fever
Yellow fever struck again today & with the same symptoms as last week, namely 31105 & 97301. Many thanks to the Paint Frothing Hero for the yellow tractor gen & it was also good to see Big Bill actually doing some graft for once lineside!!! Wonders will never cease, lol.
 | | Salubrious Small Heath
I spent an hour in the salubrious surroundings of Small Heath today awaiting 47727 & 47749 (working in multi) on 6Z48 13:05 Burton-upon-Trent West Yard - Dollands Moor empty steel train. The clouds just cleared in time & its a really nice place to wind away an hour!
 | | Quintuple Choppers
As a rule i'm not really a fan of light engine movements, but as a convoy of 5 DRS 20's was passing the doorstep at work & it was nice weather. It would've been rude not to have got the camera out for em.
 | | Yellow Fever
Finished work reasonably early today, so i was able to get into position for 97301 (ex 37100) working 5Z97 13:29 Derby RTC - Sutton Bridge and then get yellow pedestrian 31105 working 4Z10 17:47 Derby RTC - Tyseley test train twice. Ta to 33106 for the 4Z10 gen.
 | | Riots and Seminars!!
The title says it all. You find here phots of cranks mostly drunk, dossed out, in seminars or a few other oddities! I really regret not taking more phots of cranks/seminars years ago, as i'm sure they'd be some bad hair/clothes on view! Enjoy, you might find yourself here!
 | | 45105 - Work In Progress
Thought it was about time that there was an update on my site about 45105 and how its coming along. So if your interested keep looking here to see whats happening and how the beast is coming along.
** Alas updates have stopped until i've got either a flash for my 5D or a digi compact camera, sorry! **

 | | Odds & Ends
Unclassified classes, DBSO's & the like can be found here.
 | | DEMU's inc N.I. (Thumpers)
Often overlooked are these beasts (get them in the province whilst you can!) and i regret not having more phot's of em.
 | | EMU's SR 2nd Generation
Never really bothered about photting these before. But todays rubbish is tomorrow's heritage!
 | | EMU's SR (slam doors)
These units gave the southern region its own identity and alas they have now finished!
 | | EMU's 2nd Generation
They can't compete with Dinosaurs or Clactons, but in 20 or so years time i'll regret if i don't get any phots of these.
 | | EMU's (Dinosaurs's & Clacton's)
I've not got enough photo's of these heritage whoppers!
 | | DMU's 2nd Generation (Cart's)
Unlike the first generation diesel multiple units these modern units just ain't got the same charisma as the good old bog van, however they are a part of todays railway and begrudgingly i'm now photting em when the weather is good.
 | | DMU's (Bog Van's)
By far superior and miles more character than modern units.
 | | Class 71 - 92 (Sparkies)
Its pan up or shoe down time!
 | | Class 67 (Skips)
Despite the mail trains disappearing that they were built to haul. The class is still somewhat in demand, with a variety of different customers.
 | | Class 66 (Sheds)
Now available in a multitude of different colours, which cannot hide the fact that they are foreign rubbish!
 | | Class 60 (Tugs)
Are these the last mainline diesels to be built in Britain?
 | | Class 59 (GM's)
The original general motors invasion.
 | | Class 58 (Bones)
These type 5's never even made 20 years in service, scandalous!
 | | Class 57 (Bodysnatchers)
Well at least the body is rateable even if the heart beating inside them ain't.
 | | Class 56 (Grids)
The best type 5 bar none and thankfully Fastline have seen sense and reinstated 3 examples for there intermodal services. Lets hope there are more to follow!
 | | Class 55 (Deltic's)
Not my cup of tea, but well rated by a lot of people.
 | | Class 50 (Hoovers)
EE's 2nd attempt at a type 4 and they failed miserably (again) compared to a Sulzer type 4!
 | | Class 47 (Brush 4's)
Another quality product from the sulzer stable.
 | | Class 44 - 46 (Peaks)
SIMPLY THE BEST!!!
 | | Class 43 (Tram's)
Now classed as heritage traction and by far preferable to those hideous objects that are voyagers!
 | | Class 40 (Whistlers)
Right number of wheels, but surely a type 3 and never a type 4!
 | | Class 37 (Tractors)
I don't mind these EE's, but they are over rated these days!
 | | Class 35, 42, 52 'Hydraulic's' (Hymeks, Warships, Westerns)
Before my time, but never the less good engines.
 | | Class 33 (Cromptons)
Hellfire engines and the best type 3 by far!!
 | | Class 31 (Peds)
Pedestrians, goyles, bannisters, brians, fussgangers, lights in the sky or whatever you like to call em, 2 words sum this class up.....utter rubbish!
 | | Class 24 - 27 (Rats)
Good honest little engines.
 | | Class 20 (Choppers)
51 years old & still pottering about on the mainline with a few companies. Whether you rate them or not you can't deny 51 years on the mainline is an achievement.
 | | Class 02 - 14 (Rods)
These little engines do just as an important job as the big engines.
